LinkedIn New Feature: Star Messages

This new feature on LinkedIn is something we've all been wanting for years. The ability to flag or highlight important messages. Why? It doesn't fix all the problems of this clunky LinkedIn inmail. It does help you identify important messages. What am I talking about? I'm talking about the Star feature. So you can see right here, I have two inmail messages that I've Starred just so I could show you how that works. But right here, Mr. Groovy, who's coming in for one of our events here, let's go ahead and Star. And so now when we go over here, you'll see that I have three messages that are starred. Is this a perfect fix? No, but it can help. Let's just go through here. Is there anyone else? Of course, Mahmood, my buddy Mahmood, that is an important message. So I want to make sure that he star in there. So now I can go through and start looking at my starred messages. These are important to me. Now, if you're not familiar, you haven't been on LinkedIn in a while, they created the other box and that's where sales messages go to die. And I really need to just clean this up.

But I like to keep them and maybe sometimes use them as examples. You can actually train your inmail box on LinkedIn now. If I wanted, I could put this into other, but no, and does not belong in others. So I'm not going to do that. She's a star. But you can train your inmail on LinkedIn by moving messages. You can move this message and you can move to other, but I would not do that. So this little ellipsis right here gives you the drop down of your other options. But what I want to focus on is having the ability to star messages in your LinkedIn inmail. It's a start in the right direction. So thank you, LinkedIn, and I hope that I get starred in your inbox.
