Wondering how to get the conversation started?

It’s not as hard as you think. Start by searching for content by #hashtags and keywords.

For example, I like to connect with recruiters it’s a perfect fit since I am a Career Coach and LinkedIn Strategist. I want to hear what their take on the job market is and what trends they are seeing.

A String or Boolean search would be a good place to start. I would search “Recruiter OR Talent Management OR Hiring Manager”. You can do the same type of search using #hashtags: #Recruiter #TalentManager #HiringManager

Now, before you just start commenting on their posts or articles, take the time to check out their profile. Is this someone you want to engage with? Do they appear to be credible? Or did you find the one decent article they wrote?

Read some of their content and then decided.
When you do comment or share something of theirs, always highlight one point or tip that resonates with you and tag them if possible.

PROTIP: Ask a question in your post. This will help keep the engagement going. If a person comments who would add value to your network, here is your chance to send them a connection request!
